College Cooking 101:
Forget the ramen
When your kids were little, you sent them off to school with newly sharpened No. 2 Ticonderoga pencils, a box of Crayolas and a Rugrats lunchbox. Now that they are in college, packing gets a bit more complicated, not to mention expensive. There’s the trip to the bedding store, the search for the perfect desk lamp, the “must have” mini-fridge and a plastic bin full of computer cables, printer cartridges, cell-phone chargers, iPod earphones ... the list goes on and on. What it probably DOESN’T include is a cookbook. But it should.
Easy homemade gifts for kids
It’s never too early to get organized for the holidays. Don’t be a last-minute shopper. Get a jump-start on your gift list now. What homemade gifts have you made?
Common money mistakes
You’ve probably made a financial mistake or two. Some money mistakes are fairly common. Most people learn from them and make changes for the better. Consistent decisions (both large and small) can have a big impact on your financial future. If you’re starting out, you’ll be ahead of the game if you make the best choices and avoid common money mistakes. But it’s never too late to get to back on track and make corrections.

Coupon organizing 101
If you clip coupons, you’ll want to organize them. You want to find the coupons you need quickly so you don’t miss out on any money-saving opportunities. Creating the best system depends largely on how many coupons you clip and use. For some people, a paper clip will suffice, and for others an entire plastic caddy is the only way to go. Organizing coupons will help you weed out any that are soon expiring or are already expired, too. How do you organize your coupons?
Chill out with cold soup
Summer is the one time of year when it is easy to eat those multiple servings of vegetables that nutritionists recommend. You can even get them all in one bowl, in a soup like gazpacho. The only problem is choosing your recipe.
