While she may look a little

young for high school, it

seemed she was more interested

in orientation than some

others. She along with 400

freshmen attended orientation

last Thursday. For more information

about the orientation,

registration and the first day

of school, see page 14.

" I was at the freshmen orientation at DHS and it was outstanding! Yet Mr. Blasky has to add a note of sarcasm,"while she may look interested etc." Why say anything negative. All the kids were great and the high school kids really were awesome. My son was a bit worried about high school but he was made to feel welcome. Parents met with administrators and counselors and it was very informative. This was never done when I was a freshmen. They even sent out postcards to all incoming freshmen for the orientation. Student leaders dressed up as Disney characters and the kids had alot of fun getting the high school tour. Thank you DHS for making my son feel welcome and helping me to understand the requirements in academics, you went above and beyond! "
