" I don't think that the people have agendas. I think most anyone would listen to you and address the issues. That isn't what the people were talking about. We are talking about how this man whines, cries, gets overly excited (theatrics) and otherwise makes a fool of himself. I think that the people think this looks ridiculous and is not representative of the people in the city of Douglas. If you think that he has been dealing with the issues, then you must be smoking crack. "

" Please consider the individuals that wrote the negative comments and the fact that they certainly have their own agenda. If you want the truth about our Mayor, I encourage you to contact him and speak directly with him regarding your concerns. I personally have had that opportunity and he is willing to listen and address issues in our city. You should be honored that the Douglas City Mayor is out there in Arizona representing us in a positive way. "

" I find this embarrassing for the city of Douglas. Whenever I have listened to this man speak, he rants and raves and says nothing that he can back up. I am personally tired of his whining and his theatrics. "

" Is this a joke? Gomez better start taking care of his city BEFORE he makes reccomendations for others. Gomez has yet to do anything for Douglas. I voted for him and I'm sorry I did. What has he done to improve the look of the City? If anything there are so many lots all over with trash, old cars and terrible store fronts down G Avenue except for a few and cheap stores with massive lighting that take away the beauty of the night sky (like Dollar General and Familiy Dollar on San Antonio) they look like circus tents! I love my town but it is going downhill without true leadership. "
