Local AYSO seeks players for U-19 division

The Douglas AYSO is currently looking for at least 50 players to play in its U-19 division.

League president Frank Montoya said this new division is a one-year pilot program and whether or not it returns next year will depend on the number of people who sign up this year.

The local AYSO  will hold its final this Saturday at Ortega’s Sportsworld from 10-4.

Those registering after Saturday may still do so and can pick up through applications everyday of the week during regular store hours at Ortega’s Sportsworld  but then register through any AYSO board member.

The registration fee is $40. The last day to sign up is Thursday September 10th.

Opening ceremonies are scheduled for Sept. 12 at 4 p.m. at Airport Park.

Anyone wanting more information may contact Montoya at 364-5040.
