Joe Delgado brings his years of experience on insurance and finance to his work at State Farm Insurance, located at 805 Cochise Avenue.

The business provides life, auto and home insurance and financial products.

Delgado works along with staff members Victor Martinez and Tina Robey. They maintain office hours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The office is closed for lunch from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. each day.

"Our principal product is preferred auto insurance sold under the State Farm Mutual Insurance Company, the world's largest auto insurance company," Delgado said. "Our secondary product is homeowners insurance sold under State Farm Fire and Casualty. The third product sold under State Farm Life Company that completes the third oval in the company logo.

"We also sell other financial products at both the Douglas and Bisbee offices"

He said insurance plays an important part in people's lives, but particularly during difficult economic times.

"During tough economic times, it's important to know that you have a strong insurance company that is able to keep the promise and settle claims efficiently," he said. "State Farm's conservative approach has served its policyholders well. Since 1922, this Mutual Company, which cannot be bought or sold, has continued its tradition of financial strength

"I am proud to have represented 'The Farm' for nearly 20 years in Tucson, Bisbee and now Douglas. My licensed staff of Victor Martinez, Tina Rabey and myself are here to assist you with all of your insurance needs."

Delgado's varied life experiences make him an ideal consultant to help you make the important decisions concerning your economic future.

After leaving the U.S. Navy, he worked first as a field engineer at Hallicrafters and later a technician/observer for the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory. After 16 years, funds began to dry up and he moved onto IBM as a cost accountant in Tucson. After being laid off in 1989 when the economy began to go south, Delgado joined State Farm.

He worked as an agent in Tucson until 1996, when the agent in Bisbee retired, and "I moved to the most diverse community in the world."

In 1996, Delgado was also ordained as a Deacon in the Catholic Church. He also served on the Bisbee school board and the board of the Boys and Girls Club since its inception.

Joe Delgado and his State Farm Associates are ready to use their talent and experience to meet all of your financial and insurance needs. For more information, call 364-6252.
