August 18


DOUGLAS                                                           

Theft: A Trek 5000 road bicycle was stolen from the residence in the 7000 block of  N. Leslie Canyon Road. The bike was black and sliver and valued at $2000.00 by the owner .

ELFRIDA                                                               

Agency Assist:  Depuites observed a van parked alongside the road at milepost 35 on 191.  Upon checking the vehicle they discovered 11 illegal immigrants.  They immigrants advised Deputies that the driver had absconded and left them there.  Border Patrol was summoned and took all subjects and the vehicle.   

Traffic Offense:  Deputies were called to Ghost Town Trl and Courtland Rd in Pearce by Border Patrol for a subject driving without a license.  Upon arrival, the subject identified as Matthew Cordova who had been cited for the same offense by the Sheriff’s Office on 080509 was taken into custody. 

August 19

ELFRIDA                                                                      

Criminal Damage:  The Elfrida Baptist Church reported that the door to one of the classrooms had been damaged.  Nothing has been reported missing.  Investigation continues.

Augusst 21-23

DOUGLAS                                                                   

Wanted Person:  Mineya Santos Morales was arrested at the Douglas Border Patrol Station in regards to a Felony Warrant out of Gwinnett County.

Wanted Person: Manuel Martinez was arrested for a warrant out of Douglas Justice Court#2, (Contempt of Court). This took place at the United States Border Patrol station.

Wanted Person: Jonhatan Guerrero-Trujillo, an undocumented alien, was arrested at the US Border Patrol station on a felony warrant from Brown County Sheriff’s Office in Wisconsin. 

ELFRIDA                                                                      

Criminal Damage: On 082009, There was a report of criminal damage at the Baptist Church in Elfrida. A rear window was broken.  Nothing appeared to be missing.  Damage is estimated at $200

Agency Assist:  On 082109, Deputies were following a pickup on Highway 191.  The vehicle turned onto Major Way and several suspected illegal immigrants ran from the vehicle into a corn field.  Four subjects along with the vehicle were turned over to Border Patrol. 

Property Damage:  On 082309, Deputies took a report for a damaged fence at S Fort Bowie Rd and E Greatland Rd.  

Property Damage:  Deputies took a report on 082209 from the Chase Pecan Farm on Baker Rd where it was reported that Border Patrol had been trying to stop a vehicle that ran through their fence causing approximately $200 in damage.
