Douglas Fiestas start on Friday

The 2009 Douglas Fiestas will kick off festivities on Friday, September 18, at Veterans Memorial Park in Douglas.


Featured during the three-day event will be City of Fun Carnival along with food,, music and entertainment.

Following are the schedule of events for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Friday September 18, 2009

5:00 PM     Booths and Carnival Open

5:30 PM     Opening ceremonies and China Poblana         Coronation

6:00 PM     Join us for the “Grito De Indepencia” in     conjunction with the Mexican Consulate!  Enjoy live performances by Folklorico Groups and Music By Mexican Bandas and Mariachi

8:00 PM    Dance to  Music By “La

                             Familia”

-12:00 AM

Saturday September 19, 2009

10:00 AM     Parade along G Avenue

12:00 PM     Booths and Carnival Open

3:00 PM     DJ Z

5:00 PM      Cochise College

                             Folklorico

6:00 PM      Performances By The

                              Douglas Charger         Cheerleaders

7:00 PM      Folklorico Dance Centre

                             West

8:00 PM      Dance to Live Music By

                             “PrimeTime”

Sunday September 20, 2009
