Support The Walk for the Cure (Turkey Trot, Thanksgiving Day) Used Book Sale run by Linda Gomez where money raised stays in Douglas to support Cancer patients. Buy a burrito and baked goods from the American Cancer Relay for Life food table to support research and education.
Arts & Crafts: Local and handmade arts and crafts will now be for sale at the farmers market through the Douglas Arts Association.

Pomegranate
One pomegranate fruit tons of nutrition… and best of all, it is low in calories. In just one pomegranate, fruit there is around 100 calories and only about 25g of sugar. However, that is only the beginning of the nutrition pomegranate provides:

As you can see, drinking or eating pomegranate is a great choice for your health. With a low calorie count and so many health benefits, you do not need to feel any guilt as you indulge in the delicious pomegranate fruit.
Cut off the “crown”, then score the outer layer of skin into sections.
In a large bowl of water, break apart the sections along the score lines. Roll out the arils (the sweet juice sacs surrounding a tiny edible seed) with your fingers. The arils will sink to the bottom while the white membrane floats to the top.
Strain out the water. The arils are ready to eat whole, seeds and all.
