Concepcion “Concha” Altamirano passed away at her home in Pirtleville, AZ on September 5, 2009.


Concha was born July 2, 1929 to Domingo and Marian Castillo in Agua Prieta, Sonora. MX. She is preceded in death by her sister Hortencia Arvayo and brother Domingo Castillo. Surviving is her husband Gualberto Altamirano of 58 years of  marriage. Surviving also are her Sons Baldemar (Theresa) Altamirano. Guillernio (Theresa) Altamirano, Sergio (Sharon) Altamirano, and David (Martha) Altamirano, and daughters Brenda (Mike) Ballesteros, Irma (Rene) Camacho and Marisela Altamirano. She leaves behind 30 grandchildren, and 46 Great-grandchildren.

Concha was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and home maker. Concha loved to play Bingo, and loved to watch her grandchildren play baseball and softball. She will be greatly missed.

Prayer services will Thursday, September 10, 2009 at 6:00 pm in the main chapel of Adair Douglas Funeral Chapel, 1860 8th Street. Funeral services will be Friday, September 11, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the Primera Assamblea de Dios Puerta Hermosa Church, 1400 13th Street. Burial will follow at Calvary cemetery, in Douglas.

Pallbearers will be Osvaldo Altamirano, David Hurtado, Memo Altamirano Jr., Ruben Villalba, Oscar Altamirano, David Altamirano Jr., and Martin Martinez. Honorary-Pallbearers will be Edgardo Altarnirano, Emanuel Altamirano, Gustavo Altamirano, Armando Altamirano. Oniar Villalba, and Edward Altarnirano. Care entrusted to Adair Douglas Funeral Chapel. 364-2121. Funeral Director Alex Espinosa.
