Lewis Johnson was born in Pirtleville, Arizona, on June 7, 1926. He passed away at Tucson Medical Center on September 25, 2009.

He was a 62-year member of the International Brotherhood of the Electrical Workers Union No. 570, lifetime member of the Elks Lodge, No. 955, lifetime member of the Douglas Golf and Social Club, and member of the Fred Hilburn American legion Post No. 11.
His favorite pastimes were helping children, dancing with his wife, Billie, and rooting on his grandchildren in their schooling and sports activities.
He proudly served his country as a Navy SeeBee in Okinawa during World War II and was honorably discharged in 1947.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Billie, son Rob (Kathy) Johnson, daughter Julie Johnson Romero, grandsons Aaron (Christa) Johnson and Robbie Romero, granddaughter Audra (James) Barrios, Sisters Irene Chapman and Elizabeth Phillips, nephew James Phillips, and nieces Jeanette Gray and Bonnie Grainger.
He was preceded in death by father, Bill, mother, Lydia, twin brother, Bill, and sister, Cora.
Services will be held at Adair Funeral Home at noon on Friday, October 2, 2009.
Pallbearers are Aaron Johnson, Robbie Romero, Rudy Romero, James Barrios, Lenard Maddux and James Phillips. Honorary Pallbearers are Ray Cluff, Enrique Chavez, Roy Manley, Al Waller, Bobby Benson and Woody Wing.
