Why don't they get off theri tuffs and run for school board? Last year there were two openings and two candidates, well guess what? They automaiclay won. Boo Hoo!! "

" Not having grown up in Douglas I am dumbfounded as to the way "business" is handled here. Here are a few questions I still have not found answers for.
If Mr Ortiz and Mr Pettite get reassigned to home over the ELL incident, why has nothing happened Ms. Toland who is the administrator over ELL?
Why is the board so eager to waste so much money in an effort to get rid of the man they hired as superintendant, especially when district employees did not get a raise?
Who is holding the board accountable and why are the families of Douglas not signing petitions to remove board members?
When the board removes Mr. Pettite and begin their search for a new "puppet" will they be willing to sign an agreement stating that they will step down if the next superintendant doesnt work out?
There are more questions but the bottom line is I haven't seen much done by the board that shows they have any regard for what is best for the people of the district they claim to serve. I do see a group of people working feverishly to win their own personal battles even if it means the children of Douglas lose the war! "

I really think that our students are so much more mature, let's have some of them run for board! LOL, at least we know that if they would cry and throw a tantrum, we can say "Hey there just kids" "
