Spay/Neuter, vaccine clinic in Douglas

On Thursday and Friday, September 17 and 18, the Douglas Animal Shelter/Animal  Health Care Center along with the Humane Society of Southern Arizona  will be hosting a low-cost clinic for Douglas animals.


No appointment is necessary. It will be first come, first serve at the clinic, located at 2017 Rogers Avenue.

For surgery, owners are asked to arrive between 7 and 9 a.m.. The walk-in vaccine clinic will be held from 3 to 5 p.m.

All animals presented for surgery must show proof of current vaccination or vaccination will be required at the time of surgery.

The fees are cat neuter, $20;  cat spay, $50; dog neuter, $75; dog Spay-50 pounds and under, $80, over 50 pounds, $100, and an additional $30 if the animal is pregnant.

Vaccines will range in price from  $10 to $25.
