Three Douglas residents have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery that took place Sept. 14 in the 800 block of 21st Street.

According to Lt. Carlos Guido of the Douglas Police Dept. at about 8:50 p.m. a Pizza Hut delivery man was delivering pizzas to a trailer park in the 800 block of 21st Street when he was confronted by a subject with a firearm.

The suspect demanded the delivery man’s money as well as the pizzas. Upon taking the items the suspect and an accomplice fled on foot.

Police responding to the scene were able to obtain a description and began tracking footprints left behind by the suspects.

Those footprints led officers to a nearby mobile home.

The mobile home was secured and detectives were given consent to search the residence which revealed the suspects.

The suspects identified as Heriberto Arvayo, 22; Rene Moran, 18 and Carlos Duran, 24 were all arrested and a follow up into the case revealed evidence relating to the armed robbery.

All three suspects were transported to the Cochise County Jail.
