Clean out your bookshelves! The Friends of the Douglas Library needs donations for its upcoming used book sale. Donations will be accepted now through Thursday, October 1, at the Library, located at 560 10th Street.

According to Friends president, Maryelizabeth Hart, this will be the biggest sale of the year. It is scheduled for October 17-18 in Castro Park along with the Cochise County Cycling Classic on Saturday and the Farmers’ Market on Sunday.

Proceeds of the book sales benefit many library activities, particularly those planned each year for children and teens as part of the Summer Reading Program. Funds from the sales also support the Adult Book Discussion Group and other activities throughout the year.

For more information, visit the Library or call 417-7357.
