It was the best attended of the Halloween events sponsored by the Dispatch.

“We drew about 1,600 people to the park and sold more than 5,000 10 cent ride, game and food tickets.

The event provided children up to age 12 an opportunity for a fun and safe Halloween experience.

The event began at 4:30 p.m. that Friday.

More than 300 bags of candy were handed out in addition to hundreds of pounds of candy and thousands of prizes .

The next Dispatch event will be Breakfast with Santa on Saturday, November 28.

" Would have been nice though if the wait was not 1 hr 1/2 to get a baggie & buy tickets and then another 1/2 hour to play each game. And 1/2 hour to buy munchies. Better than nothing I guess. "
