Isidro “Chilo” Q. Arvayo passed away unexpectedly on October 8, 2009 at his residence in Tucson, AZ.


Isidro was born on May 15, 1936 in Nacozari, Sonora, Mexico to Feilpe Arvayo and Guadalupe Quintana.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 40 years of marriage, Anita Arvayo, sisters Leticia Sanchez, Francisca Velasquez, and brother Jesus Arvayo.

Surviving are sons Gilberto Arvayo, Daniel (Luz) Arvayo and Noe Arvayo, daughters Ana M. Carreon, Alma Dora (Ceferino) Cuevas, and Irma (Rene) Camacho. He leaves behind 32 grandchildren 46 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Chilo worked in construction throughout his life. His true joy in life was going to the park with his grandchildren.

Viewing will be Tuesday, October 12, 2009-from 1:00-5:00 p.m. in the main chapel of Adair Douglas Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 14, 2009-10:00 a.m. at Ilgesia Bautista Amistad; 350-D Ave. Celebrant will be Pastor Luis Aguilar. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Douglas, AZ.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Arvayo, Noe Arvayo, Cesar Arvayo, Noe Arvayo Jr, Rey Arvayo and Isidro Cuevas. Honorary-Pallbearers will be Jesus Castillo Jr., Damian Miranda, Diego Guillen, Fernie Cuevas, Danny Arvayo Jr, and Ceferino Cuevas.

Services and care entrusted to Adair Douglas Funeral Chapel, 364-2121, Funeral Director Alex Espinosa.
