Douglas Light Parade will illuminate 'Santa's Workshop' on Nov. 28 The City of Douglas Recreation and Parks Division has announced that the theme for this year's Downtown Christmas Light Parade will be “Santa’s Workshop.” The Light Parade will be held on Saturday November 28, at 7PM. Application forms to participate in the parade can be picked up at the recreation center office at 919 3rd St. Those who wish to have their group participate in the parade this year are asked to complete the form and submit it to recreation office by November 23. Numbers and line up schedule will be provided on the November 24 during the light parade meeting. The meeting will be held at the recreation center at 6pm. All participants are encouraged to attend the meeting or have a representative attend the meeting. The parade will begin promptly at 7 p.m. on 3rd St and G. Ave. and will end on 14th St and G.Ave. The City of Douglas Recreation and Parks Division is excited to be coordinating another exciting parade that will no doubt gather the community together to ring in the most festive time of the year. We hope to continue a tradition that has brought happiness to young and old alike. We encourage participants to be creative and have fun as we continue to provide the community a exciting and event for all to enjoy.
