Man of the Year Edward Page

Page has been involved in a number of activities and groups over the years while in Douglas. While his face won’t always be out front, his influence in the community is felt.

Born in Texas, the family moved to Arizona and his father started Brown Page Mortuary, and later Curtis Page  & Sons.

Much of Page’s time has been spent in service, not only locally, but throughout the world.

Page enlisted and served in the U.S. Marine Reserves from 1962-64 and was commissioned in1965, serving until 1992 in the U.S. Army, retiring as a Lt. Colonel.

After retiring, he went on to work as the executive director of the Cochise College Foundation, was treasurer of the Douglas Chamber of Commerce in 1993 to 95, and served on the board of directors for SEABHS for two years. He also served as one of the youngest members of the Douglas Unified School District Governing Board in 1968-1970.

He has been involved with the Arizona Rangers for the last three years.

Page has three family-run businesses in Bisbee -- Coffee Connection, Bisbee Grille and Santiago’s Mexican Restaurant.

He has been married to wife Georgia since 1963, and the couple has three children, Rob and Michael of Bisbee and Toni Lynn of Tennessee and four grandchildren.

Page will be honored on Friday, November 6 , at the Greater Douglas Chamber of Commerce banquet.

" Way To GO AMIGO! Congrats on such an honor. You certainly deserve such a recognition. Although the article did mention your involvment with the AZ Rangers, people should know that you dedicate countless upon countless hours of volunteer work with the AZ Rangers to keep Douglas and other communities safe and sound. Again, CONGRATULATIONS! "

" I am so happy to see my brother honored in such a way by the people of Douglas. Eddie is one of the best people in the world as those of you that know him could attest. He works tirelessly for whatever he believes in. And all his life's works have been "from the heart" He does not compromise his deep religious values, has raised a beautiful family and I hope he feels the love from his brothers. "
