Bulldogs fall in quarterfinals The Douglas Bulldogs were overwhelmed by Glendale by Glendale Cactus, 70-21, as they scored the first seven times they touched the ball in the Arizona 4A-II Quarterfinals. Glendale rolled up a 49-0 lead after the first half. Douglas came back strong with three scores in the third quarter, including forcing two turnovers, but a Cactus runback of a kickoff for a touchdown put a stop the comeback. Douglas finished with one of its best records in years, 8-4. For more details, see story in the Wednesday Dispatch. |
