Information meet on Medicare changes in SV on Nov. 15

Published/Last Modified on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 2:45 PM MST

Open enrollment for Medicare Part D prescription drug benefit begins on November 15, and many seniors need assistance in understanding the many choices they will have.

There will be 46  prescription drug plans available in Arizona in 2010. The only way to compare these plans is to use the Medicare Plan Finder on the www.medicare.gov website.

In order to assist seniors,  an event is being sponsored by the SEAGO Area Agency on Aging. Individuals will be on hand to explain Medicare benefits and answer individual questions.

The event in Cochise County will be held on Wednesday, November 18 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m at the Wellness Depot at the Sierra Vista Mall.
