Elfrida Merchants feature local artisans

Looking for that last minute, unique gift?  Try shopping Elfrida.  The Korner Store, on the corner of Jefferson and Highway 19,1 has a number of paintings by Adele Crouch (Creations by Crouch).

Their hours are: Monday - Saturday from 7 a.m. - 9 p.m.  Fill up with gas and pick up some snacks while you are there. If you prefer photography, stop by High Desert Styles, 10357 Highway 191, Tuesday - Saturday between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

They are featuring Jim Kidd, a renowned photography.  You might even want to get your hair done at the same time.    Butterflies or Hummingbirds anyone?  Drop into the Baker’s Haus, 10400 Highway 191, anytime between 6:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday thru Saturday to pick up work by Helen Murphy and have some of the best pastry in the valley.

All of the featured artists are members of the Elfrida Art Center whose motto is “bringing art and people together.”  Elfrida Art Center is fully volunteer and dedicated to teaching the arts to the youth of the Sulpher Springs Valley.

Classes are free, all materials are provided, various artists volunteer their time to teach the students, and registration is on a first come - first serve basis.  Many of the members have work available for sale at the center as well.

So be sure to make 10336 Aspen one of your stops Friday or Saturday between the hours of 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. (on the corner of Thistle and Aspen, just one block west of Highway 191).
