District seeks input on needs, wants of next superintendent

Published/Last Modified on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 10:38 AM MST

The Douglas Unified School District Governing Board has chosen the executive search services of Arizona School Boards Association (ASBA) to assist the board to select the next superintendent of the district. The process includes determining the qualities desired in the next superintendent, advertising the position and assisting the board in the selection process. The profile development will be utilized to create the appLication and advertisements, analyze applications, and develop questions for interviews.

The Governing Board wants to hear from you. As citizens and employees of the district, you have important experiences and strong ideas to share about the character, qualities, credentials, skills and attitudes the district needs in their new superintendent. The executive search consultant offers an online Input Survey at the following site: http://login.azbsa.org/survey/index.cfm?action=Details&SurveyID=158.

It can also be found on the DUSD website: www.dusd.k12.az.us

The survey will be available through February 22, 2010, 5pm. This is a time to look to the future and help secure the type of leader that will be best for your district and community. The survey results will be compiled in an executive summary and presented to the governing board for review.

We look forward to your participation, your input and experience in the profile development.”
