Do I think that it is the government's responsibility? No, but if the parents don't do it, then someone needs to. " Why isn't the money covering more important things like making RAY BORANE more HANDICAP friendly? Do you know that this school has no ramps to reach the 2nd or 3rd floors? Buildings have roof leaks, no adequate heating, OUR CHILDREN have no BASIC school supplies like paper, pencils, books, etc... but yet the the football field is getting renovations? Don't the BOARD MEMBERS see any problems here? Why don't they stop sending all these DUSD employees to conventions or meeting and put the money back into the school district? Here they are paying for reading,math and induction coaches who don't do a darn thing, put there butts back into the the classroom and pay them as regular teachers. As well as parent liasons who are really secretaries that have been given a "TITLE" and more money! ELC is also closing due to no money? It is simple people, quit sending people out of town on conferences, get rid of these new induction "COACHES"(who r paid how many thousands) for doing nothing, quit wasting money on nonsense things and let get this district back on track! " I personally don't think that the district should go ahead with any projects at this time that the state has these huge budget cuts. I realize the voters passed this back in November, but that was before the community was aware of the impending budget cuts. Maintenance and operations of the athletic fields can wait. Sports should not be a priority at this time. People's jobs and their lives should be. With the great amount of cuts, we will have to be providing kids with take home food for the weekend. " RBMS is 100 years old this year and is the oldest building in the District! Clawson's multi purpose room is legit but how can 800,000 in field turf and 788,000 in the field house, both at the high school, and Huber doors and who knows what at Stevenson be more important than mold on the walls at RBMS, water leaks in the ceiling, paint peeling on the walls, etc.... Though the current administration has done an admirable job raising money and having work crews fix that place up, it's no where near the work that is needed. Some things NEVER CHANGE as it's obvious where the power lies......DHS, HUBER, and STEVENSON!!!!!!!! "
