Carne asada fundraiser Saturday


There will be a carne asada fundraiser this Saturday from 11-3 at the American Legion on G Ave.

All proceeds will go towards Luis Morales a local athlete who has been selected to play for a national baseball team in Omaha, Neb. this June.

Plates are $6 each and donations are also being accepted.

Look for more on Morales in the Douglas Dispatch in the upcoming weeks.

Softball Clinic Saturday

There will be a Youth Softball Camp March 20 at the Douglas High School softball field.

The camp will run from 8:30 A.M. to 4:45 p.m. Cost is $50 which includes professional instruction and interaction from former University of Arizona athletes Autumn Champion and Taryne Mowatt, a T-shirt, and other softball  memorabilia items.
