350 kids at annual Easter Egg Hunt

A total of 350 area children, ages  10 and under took part  in the  12th annual Douglas Dispatch Easter Egg Hunt April 3 at Copper King Baseball Stadium in Douglas.

The event is sponsored annually by the Douglas Dispatch and City of Douglas. This year’s sponsors include Wal-Mart, Dairy Queen  and Cox Cable.

Other sponsors include Southwest Gas,  La Unica, Daz Vision, Devore Auto Parts, Mi Ranchito, Byrds, Brown Page Mortuary,  Palo Verde Meat Market, B&D Lumber, Telephony Toys, Maddux & Sons, Douglas Meat Market, Border Mart,  H&R Block, Burger Shack, The Box, Nalley’s Pit Stop   and Espinoza’s Douglas Funeral Home.

Hundreds of pounds of pre-wrapped candy  dotted the baseball infield and outfield as well as dozens of special prize Easter Eggs.

The participating children  were split up into three age groups: 0--3, 4-7 and 8-10.
