ELFRIDA                                                                  

Fraud:  On 033110 at 1907 hours, Michaela Morales was at the Family Dollar and was called in by a clerk at the store because she had used a fraudulent credit card a few days prior.  Deputies responded and investigated the incident.  Michaela was taken into custody for the fraud charges.  The victim was also called to the store and she reported that her credit card had been lost the week prior and had been canceled.   

Drugs:  On 033110 at 1900 hours, Michaela Morales was cited and released for possession of marijuana.  Michaela was the suspect in a fraud case at the Family Dollar in Sunsites when the drugs were located in her purse.

Trespassing:  On 033110 at 0920 hours, a citizen on E Buck Ranch Rd in Kansas Settlement reported 2 illegal immigrants in his yard.  

April 1

ELFRIDA                                                               

Theft:  On 040110 at 1709 hours, Deputies responded to Valley Union High School and took a report of a theft.  A student reported that his I Pod had been taken while at school.  Investigation continues. 

Theft:  On 040110, at 1007 hours, a male subject reported that a generator was stolen from his ranch which is located East of Slover Rd in McNeal.  The generator had been chained to the base of his windmill.  Generator is a blk and red Homelife 5700 watt valued at $650.  Tire tracks indicate the suspects entered through a section of fencing that was down along Davis Rd.  Investigation continues.

April 5

DOUGLAS                                                                   

Vandalism: Between 4-3-10 and 4-4-10, unknown persons tipped over a 50 gallon water tank, damaging $250.00 to the plumbing, .  In addition, unknown person drove through a barb-wired fence on W. Frontier Rd, causing $100.00 of damage.

ELFRIDA                                                                      

Burglary:  On 040510, Deputies took an informational report for a burglary that occurred on E Sunrise Dr in Sunizona.  The owner of the residence lives in New Jersey but the caretaker stated that food items were the only things taken.   

Traffic Offense:  On 040510 at 1148, Deputies cited and released Robert Otho Elliott for driving on a suspended license at 191/181.  Elliott was upset that he was losing another vehicle to impoundment due to his driving with a suspended license.  Elliott’s Vehicle was towed for 30 day impound.   

April 6

DOUGLAS                                                                   

Wanted Person:  Melissa Ochoa-Romo was arrested at the Douglas Border Patrol Station on a valid warrant out of Pima County. The warrant was for Theft of Means of Transportation. Melissa was transported and booked into Bisbee detention.

ELFRIDA                                                                      

Drugs:  On 040610 at 1446 hours, Deputies  were working foot patrol on E Baker Rd when they discovered two plastic baggies containing what is believed to be marijuana.  A thorough search of the surrounding area did not reveal any additional drugs.  

April 7

ELFRIDA                                                                     

Accident – Minor injuries were sustained for a vehicle accident which occurred on W Whitewater School Rd on 040710 at 0730 hours.  Calgary Facchini was driving West when the right front tire went flat.  This caused the driver to not be able to control the vehicle which hit the shoulder embankment and then rolled over.  The driver and passenger were taken to SEAMC for minor injuries. 

Warrant Arrest:  On 040710 at 1620 hours, Deputies observed a vehicle cross the center line of traffic on E Highway 181.  The driver, Joseph Gonzales had an outstanding warrant out of JP4 and was arrested and taken to Willcox Detention. 

April 8

DOUGLAS                                                            

Criminal Damage: On 04/09/10 at approximately 0200 hrs, unknown suspect(s) committed burglary/criminal damage to a white in color 1996 Jeep Cherokee by breaking the windshield and passenger window and puncturing three of the four tires. In addition, the CD player, CD’s and black purse were taken. This occurred at a residence on Palm Ave. in Pirtleville, Az.

ELFRIDA                                                               

Agency Assist:  On 040810 at 1900 hours, Deputies stopped an Isuzu Rodeo at MP 27 on Highway 191 near Elfrida for an obscure license plate.  Deputies discovered 10 persons who were identified as UDA’s.  The subjects along with the vehicle were turned over to Border Patrol.

Traffic Offense:  On 040810 at 1538 hours, Christopher Wortman was speeding on Kansas Settlement Rd and when Deputies stopped him, he was found to have a suspended Arizona License.  Wortman was cited and released and the vehicle was impounded for 30 days. 

April 10-11

DOUGLAS                                                              

Burglary: On 4-11-10 at approx. 1000 hours, Alberto Samaniego-Olivas, Jose Zubiate-Carbajal and Jose Alfredo Silveira-Samaniego, undocumented Mexican nationals, admitted entering an unknown residence and stealing milk and sugar.  In addition, they were in possession of rolled copper wire, a section of brass well pipe, and misc. household items which were from an unknown residence. 

Disorderly: On 04/10/10 at approximately 2212 hrs, Johnny Mendez was arrested at a residence on Palm Ave. in Pirtleville, Az. for resisting arrest, criminal damage, and disorderly conduct. Johnny broke the window to a vehicle and broke the side-view mirror to another. Johnny did not comply with Deputies’ orders to surrender after with-holding his hand in his pocket. Johnny continued to resist after apprehension.

Wanted Person: On 4-12-10 at 20:27 hrs, an Undocumented Alien, Ignacio Martinez-Neri was arrested at the United States Border Patrol Station,   on a valid Felony warrant out of Broward County Sheriff Office located in Fort Lauderdale for original charges of disorderly intoxication.

Disorderly: On 04/10/10 at approximately 2121 hrs, Frank Dorame was arrested on Via Ocotillo in Douglas, Az., for 3 valid misdemeanor warrants out of Douglas JP2 for Failure to appear(x2) and Failure to Pay, with bonds of $2,383.00/ $2,383.00/ $9,886.00.

Criminal Damage: On 04/09/2010 between 1000 hrs and 1500 hrs, an unknown subject, believed to be an Undocumented Alien, attempted to break into a residence located on E Cielo Vista Rd, Portal, AZ.  During this event, the unknown subject damaged a window screen and iron window bars, estimated cost of $300.00.

 

ELFRIDA                                                                      

Burglary:  On 041010, unknown subject(s) unlawfully entered the Haymore Cabin on Salisbury Trl in the Turkey Creek Area.  Subject(s) entered the cabin by breaking a window and took miscellaneous food items.  

Theft:  On 041110 at 2055 hours, a man on E Curry Farm Rd in Sunsites reported the theft of approximately $900 in diesel fuel.  

Traffic Offense:  On 041010 at 2318 hours, Manuel Gonzalez knowingly operated a motor vehicle at a high rate of speed (80 in a 65) while his Arizona License was suspended.  Gonzalez was cited and released and his vehicle was impounded for 30 days. 

Suspicious:  On 041110, Deputies responded to Price Ranch Rd for a report of a UDA carrying a bundle.  Deputies checked the area thoroughly but was unable to locate the subject.
