The project was a five-and-a-half day project, that included landscaping, painting inside and outside, new carpets, remodeling the mens restroom, curbing and new hardware for the doors.
The church has a regional building committee that brings members from other congregations to help with the project. The RBC is able to help with framing, painting, electrical or any other type of work needed.
Minor up-keep has been done in the last 16 years but most of the paint and other features have remained the same. “It was a necessity, we needed new things,” DellaVecchia said.
Over 200 volunteers came from around Ariz. to help with the makeover. All funds and labor were donated to the church.
The church set out a remodel fund jar and collected money over time to help with the repairs. They raised roughly $38,000 over a two-year span.
The church will continue to make repairs as needed to keep the church safe, comfortable and spruced up, DellaVecchia said.
