Buy your onions, tomatoes, squash, the best watermelon you will find for your July 4th celebrations. To busy to make salsa? Stop by the Douglas Mercado for those items you may need like a Pinata for your July 4 Fiesta.

MUSIC – Randy Thomas DJ

PRODUCE – Squash, Key limes, Cucumbers, Tomatoes, White Onions large and small, Garlic, Melons, Watermelons and Mangos. Produce varies depending on the freshest available.

PLANTS - Come down and buy Desert landscape Plants, start up tomato and other vegetable plants for the summer.

FOODS - Come try delicious Carne Asada, Tortillas and Candied Apples made by Millie Montano, homemade salsas, homemade juices and lemonade. Looking for the Mexican treats you bought in Agua Prieta now sold at the Farmers Market. Just Coffee is selling coffee beans and ground coffee.

PINATAS Come by large piñatas made in Agua Prieta, larger than you can buy in the stores and can be made to your own design.

ARTS & CRAFTS Every Saturday at the market come down and buy local and handmade arts, jewelry and crafts. From pottery to beautiful paintings, come and buy a special gift made by local artists. Bring your own tent, table cost small tables $5.00, large tables $10.00, Not for Profits handing out information there is no charge.. SUMMER YELLOW SQUASH RECIPE

Ingredients:

3 cups sliced cooked yellow summer squash

2 cups shredded process cheese, American or mild Cheddar

4 ounces chopped mild green chiles

1 cup saltine crackers, crushed

1 cup milk

Preparation:

Combine all ingredients in baking dish. Bake in 1 1/2 to 2-quart casserole in oven at 350° for 1 hour.Serves 4 to 6.
