The International soccer camp is one week away and time is running out for those wanting to register.

The camp sponsored by Douglas’ Youth Soccer League, is scheduled for July 19-23 at the Airport Park.

The soccer camp is open to anyone between the ages of 5-18 and will take place from 9-12 each day.

Douglas’ soccer league president Frank Montoya said the soccer camps will be conducted by UK International Soccer Camps who hail predominantly from the United Kingdom, Europe and South America.

AYSO Soccer Camp Regional Director Rick Hadwick said soccer is truly a global event and this year he has a staff from over 17 nations. Combining their international passion for soccer and cultural perspective, along with our specialized AYSO training creates a very unique and dynamic camp program, which goes far beyond the soccer field.

“This really is a cultural soccer extravaganza for all involved,” he said.

All players within the allotted ages are welcome to attend the week long program.

Cost is $80 per kid.

A free parent and coach clinic is scheduled for the Saturday morning following the camp.
