The Primary Election results were anticlimactic for many local candidates since there were few contested nominations.

The only local race of interest is that for Justice of the Peace in Precinct II, where incumbent Democrat Alma Vildosola, will face Republican Alice Novoa-Benson in the November 2 General Election.

Neither candidate was opposed.

The only race that caught voters attention was for the Republican nominee for Superior Court Judge in Division II. John Kelliher won the nomination with 5,755 votes compared to Karl Elledge, 4,477votes and Roger Contreras, 1,716.

Kelliher will face Democrat Mark Suagee, who was unopposed.

In the other contested race on the November ballot, incumbent Democrat Denise Lundin will face Republican Mary Ellen Dunlap for Clerk of the Superior Court.

Charles A. Irwin, Superior Court, Division I; and Wallace R. Hoggatt, Superior Court Judge, Division III, are unopposed.
