Douglas Democrats opened its office Sunday on 10th Street between F and G Avenue.

The office is an open space to offer the community the chance to get involved with the Democrat candidates running in the present elections.

Ginny Jordan, lead volunteer, says this is an attempt to be closer to the people, so they can know the issues that matter today. “People, not just English speakers, but Hispanic people need to know their voices will be heard with their vote. Your vote is your voice.”

Present at the opening were, Alma Vildosola, candidate for Justice of the Peace, Precinct 2; Pat Fleming, State Representative, District 25; Mark Suagee; Bob Bland, Cochise County Democrats head; Manny Alvarez, District 25 Senator; Carlos Valenzuela; the Jordan Family, and U.S. Congresswoman, Gabrielle Giffords.

The Douglas Area Democrats office is open Monday to Friday, from noon to 8 p.m. and if you like to join their volunteer staff or for any question you can call at (520) 805- 1426.
