Having a pet, like a dog or

a cat gives people a lot of

joy, fun, learning experiences

and even health care;

but sometimes it is so hard to

keep them in good form.

Sometimes is hard even to

give them a bath or shape

their hair. Well, now we

have the chance to take our

pets to a place where experience

makes a difference.

What’s that? Miriam’s Pet

Grooming.

Recently opened, Miriam’s

Pet Grooming, located

at 349 9th St. is a pet grooming

business where you will

find that the experience and

placer to work with animals

combines to make your pet

look beautiful and feel good

about it. Services available

are pet grooming (which includes

bath, hair cut, trim

nails, clean ears, anal gland

express), nail filing, bathing

with Hydro Massage Therapy

and Pet Boutique.

Miriam’s Pet Grooming is

a family business owned and

operated by Miriam Vadillo

and Alfonso Espinoza. They

started in Nogales, six years

ago but now they have another

pet grooming in Rio

Rico, operated by daughters

Corinne and Jennifer and the

newest in Douglas.

Miriam Vadillo with over

20 years of experience in the

grooming field is a cosmetologist

who loves pets. She

says her passion with pet

grooming started when one

of his uncles gave her a

French Poodle he found in

the streets; she decided to

groom the Poodle instead of

taking her to the pet beauty

shop and she was delighted

with the result. She found

out in that moment what she

really wanted to become and

after that Vadillo started to

work in several Pet Beauty

shops to gain more experience

and learn from the professionals.

“I used to work

with a dog stylist from

France, Maryse; she taught

me in a wonderful manner. I

liked to work extra time just

to be with her and learn more

every day.”

When the time was right

Vadillo and husband Alfonso,

who learned the profession

from Vadillo, opened

the store in Nogales and had

a great success. Today, all

the family had learned about

pet grooming and they are

all three businesses ever

since.

Vadillo reminds all pet

owners the importance of

keeping the pet’s hair in

good condition in order to

avoid skin diseases as well

as keeping the pet flea and

tick free. “It’s important to

have your dogs and cats

cleaned once a week at least;

brush them two or three

times during the week and

clean their teeth every day;

that way you’ll keep your

pet healthy.”

Miriam’s Pet Grooming is

open from Tuesday thru Saturday

from 8:30 a.m. to 5

p.m. and you can call at

(520) 805-1977 for an appointment.
