During the weekend O’Reilly Automotive, Inc. (previously

FRANCISCO BARRIOS/DOUGLAS DISPATCH Workers install the new O’Reilly sign at Checker Auto Parts.

Checker Auto Parts) changed the exterior signs. The

Checker store located at 201 N. Panamerican Avenue was acquired

by O’Reilly Auto Parts last year.

The O’Reilly website says “It’s an exciting time for our

company. Our acquisition of Checker, Schuck’s, and Kragen

Auto Stores has given us the opportunity to introduce the

O’Reilly brand to many new markets. While our name is

new, we’re not new to the auto parts industry. For 52 years,

O’Reilly Auto Parts has helped our customers take care of

their vehicles with fully stocked stores, guaranteed low

prices, and Professional Parts People.

“The things you liked most about your local Checker,

Schuck’s, and Kragen Auto Stores are the same things that

have made O’Reilly Auto Parts successful - convenient locations,

trusted brands, and a knowledgeable staff. You’ll also

like what’s different about O’Reilly Auto Parts - expanded

inventory, lower prices, and same day, or overnight access to

hard to find parts.

“You may have noticed some changes at your local Checker,

Schuck’s, or Kragen Auto Stores. Signs and colors have

changed and the store’s interior layout is different. What you

might not have noticed is that thousands more auto parts and

accessories are now available when you need them. “
