Reception honors county Vets

April is National County Government Month and the theme for the month is "Serving our Veterans, Armed Forces, and their Families." Cochise County is asking all veterans to help us celebrate the month. We are looking for veterans from all branches of the military currently living in Cochise County to answer any or all of the following questions:


· How many years did you serve?

· In which wars or conflicts did you serve?

· What is your highest military decoration?

· What is your most unique military connection?

Respondents are invited to a reception at the Board of Supervisors on April 26, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. and special recognition will be given in each category.

Respond by mail to Cochise County Veterans, 1415 Melody Lane, Building G, Bisbee, AZ 85603 or email, arios@cochise.az.gov. Include pictures if you can. We want to make Cochise County aware of all who have served from the County and express our gratitude for your part in protecting the freedoms we all enjoy. Let us hear from you.

    " i am glad you are recognizing the great vets of cochise county thanks,there are vets that don't live in cochise county now but were residents of douglas when i went into the service 1963 Vietnam ugly, but still alive and crazy as ever,keep up the good work and thanks for the support,please don't look up my crazy SGT Rafael Monge,no end to this story "
