First Friday getting even better

With warm weather comes more quality events.

The First Friday event sponsored by the Mexican Consulate in coordination with Caffenio presented a high-quality event for April. Over 150 people were at Caffenio on April 1, for the performances of singers, guitar players, dancers, rock groups and much more.

This time the event presented artists from Douglas and Agua Prieta. Some of the participants were the Folkloric Dance Group from “Escuela Secundaria Tecnica Industrial No. 44” from Agua Prieta; a group of singers and guitar players Zone 5, also from Agua Prieta, Rock groups “Wrest” and “For Yesterday’s Dreams” from Douglas, poetry and saxophone play by student Alberto Hernandez, from “Escuela Secundaria Tecnica Industrial No. 44.”

Future events

The Mexican Consulate informed that they recently confirmed the appearance in Douglas of the very famous Mexican actor Ignacio Lopez Tarso in May. The Mexican Consulate will be honoring Lopez Tarso with a five-day movie festival in Douglas. Mexican actor Lopez Tarso will be in Douglas for the opening ceremony to meet with local people. The Mexican consulate will provide more details about this event in future editions.
