The event typically draws 300 to 500 kids age 10 and under .
The hunt involves collecting as many plastic Easter Eggs and as much candy as possible.
The plastic eggs have had gift certificates in the past for free food and free movie passes.
Hundreds of pounds of pre-wrapped candy will dot the baseball infield and outfield as well as dozens of special prize Easter Eggs.
The participating children are split up into three age groups: 0--3, 4-7 and 8-10.
At the beginning of the event, each child will receive a ticket which is used to draw for Easter baskets at the end of the hunt.
“We are excited to be able to provide this event each year to the community,” said Editor and Publisher Larry Blaskey.
“There aren’t enough child-oriented events, and this along with the Halloween Spooktacular, provide children a safe, fun way to participate.
“The event has grown each year. It takes approximately one-and-a-half hours to prepare the field for the vent, but less than five minutes for the kids to clean it off again,” he said.
