Borboletta, a band whose specialty is paying tribute to the music of Carlos Santana, will perform at the Festival of Art & Music on Tuesday, April 12 at the Sierra Vista Campus of Cochise College.

A nine-piece percussion-driven band, Borboletta performs authentic renditions of the complex arrangements of Carlos Santana’s music from the past four decades to the present. The Tucson-based band will be one of several performers at the festival, which also features the Redhouse Jazz Band and the Berean Academy Jazz Band.

Visitors to the event will have the chance to experiment with Finale, a music composing and notation software, and pottery wheels. There also will be poetry, masks, beading, mural painting, drawing, painting and ceramics, and student artwork will be on display.

The Festival of Art and Music is a celebration of spring that is free and open to the general public. Activities will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the fountain courtyard between the Fitness Center and the Administration Building on the Sierra Vista Campus. Lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
