The Douglas School Board of Education held another special meeting Nov. 29 to make some revisions to the 2010/2011 Fiscal Year District Annual Expenditure Budget as well as the 2010/2011 Annual Financial Report (AFR).

CQCH offers mammogram screenings Dec. 12

EPA orders water company serving area outside of Douglas to cut arsenic levels or face big fines
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has ordered the Monte Vista Water Company, which provides water to 150 residents north of Douglas, to reduce arsenic levels in its drinking water system or face penalties of up to $37,500 per day for each violation.

Douglas man nabbed in Sierra Vista pot bust
A Douglas man and his friend from Tucson were arrested Dec. 21 in Sierra Vista on charges of possession and transportation of marijuana after a traffic stop on Moson Road netted more than 100 pounds of pot.
