Consulate to host Dinner/Dance at Knights of Columbus

Each year the Mexican Consulate in Douglas gives special recognition to all the people that promote Bi-National friendship and cooperation, as well as community development in both border towns.


With this reason in mind, the Mexican Consulate will host a Dinner/Dance at the Knights of Columbus Hall, located at 1125 F Avenue on December 15 starting at 7 p.m. to give a public tribute to 20 people from both communities for their effort.

“This is the fifth consecutive year we give this special recognition to the people that help us promoting a good relationship between our two communities,” said Oscar De La Torre, Mexican Consul in Douglas.

At the same event, the Consulate will present their 2011 Ambassador, Betsye Angelica Valenzuela Romero. Also, Miss Latino America model agency will present several of her models with a fashion show.
