Guadalupe “Lupita” Sodari of Douglas passed away at her home on January 7, 2012.Lupita was born on February 1, 1937 in Imuris Sonora, Mexico to Isidro Gamez and Francisca Quijada. Preceding her in death is her mother Francisca Quijada. Surviving is her husband Francisco R. Quijada of 60 years of marriage. Surviving also are her sons Gustavo (Lilly) Sodari, Francisco (Alicia) Sodari, Ruben (Maribel) Sodari, Jesus Sodari, Jose Luis (Ana) Sodari, daughters Lupita (Henry) Hoyer, Maria Sodari, Rosa Maria (German) Encinas, and Elvia (Luis) Molina. She is also survived by brothers Francisco Quijada, Luis Enrique Quijada and sister Guillermina Quijada. She leaves behind 26 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. Lupita was a loving mother, wife and home maker. She will be greatly missed.



Rosary for Lupita was held on Tuesday, January 10, 2012-7:00 pm in the main chapel of Alex Espinosa Douglas Funeral Home. Mass of the Resurrection was held Wednesday, January 11, 2012-10:30 am at Immaculate Conception Church with Father Alejandro Perez. Burial followed at Calvary Cemetery.

Pallbearers were her grandchildren Roberto Sodari, Oscar Sodari, David Sodari, Jose A. Sodari, Ruben Sodari Jr, Jose L Sodari, Mathew Sodari and Henry Sodari. Honorary Pallbearers were sons Gustavo Sodari, Francisco Sodari, Ruben Sodari, Jesus Sodari and Jose Luis Sodari.

Care was entrusted to Alex Espinosa Douglas Funeral Home, 364-2121, Alex Espinosa Funeral Director.

Todos esperamos algun dia volver a verter...Dios estuvo y estara siempre contingo, miro tu dolor y te bendijo llevandote a su lado donde ya no hay dolor ni sufrimiento! "
