Mari Moore has gone to sing with the angels peacefully in her home on Wednesday, February 1, 2012. Mari was born on February 13, 1976 in Tucson, Arizona. She had been a resident of Douglas her entire life. She was preceded in death by the late Mary Moore and Walter (Pebbles) Moore. Mari is survived by her children Alina and Adriennne Moore and Cheyenne and Elijah Vega of Douglas; her partner in life of 15 years, Frank C. Vega of New York; brothers John H. Moore, Martin Moore and Andy Moore of Douglas and Tucson; sisters Belen Moreno and Debra Ann Moore of Douglas; father Hector Salinas of Douglas and mother-in-law Maria Gomez of New York. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Mari was a very free spirited and charismatic person who loved to make people smile and laugh. She was a caring mother to her children. She loved to sing and her voice would find its way into your heart. She loved cooking so much that she decided to become a sandwich artist at Subway. She loved her family gathering every year for the holidays. She will truly be missed but never forgotten.

A Rosary for Mari will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 9, 2012 at St. Luke’s Catholic Church. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11:15 a.m. on Friday, February 10, 2012 also at St. Luke’s Church with Father Richard Tule officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers who will serve are Frank C. Vega, John H. Moore, Martin Moore, Andy Moore, Aldo Rico, Rolando Aguilar, Andre Olivas, Alfonso Moore and Alex Moore.

To My Loving Mari, wonderful mother to all of our beautiful children. You may be gone but you’ll never be forgotten. You’ll always have a special place in our hearts and especially in mine. I love you so much – I will never give up. Love from Frank “Daddy”, Lina, Dre, Shy, and Eli.

" Loving God, I thank you for the gift of life you gave for Mari Moore. She was agift to all that knew her. Thank you for the time I knew her she was always kind. I know she was a true gift from heaven above for her family and friends.

    For the family:
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
    And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

    Prayer of Solace
May Christ support us all the day long, till the shadows lengthen, and the evening comes, and the busy world is hushed, and the fever of life is over and our work is done. Then in his mercy may he give us a safe lodging, and holy rest and peace at the last.

    Amen. "
