Two bomb threats in two days at DHS By Bruce WhettenDouglas Dispatch For the second time in two days the Douglas Police Dept. and other law enforcement personnel were called to Douglas High School for a bomb threat. The first call came in Wednesday around 7:15 a.m. and students had to be evacuated from campus to near by areas while the campus was searched. Two hours later students were allowed to return to class after the campus was cleared. This (Thursday) morning a second call came in. Fortunately this time students were not yet in school thanks to a late start. A search of the campus failed to turn up anything. Officials for the Douglas Police Dept. are investigating the bomb threat in an attempt to identify the caller. |
