Luz Esther Parra Luz Esther Parra passed away surrounded by her family at her home on Friday, February 10, 2012 in Rio Rico, AZ. Luz Esther was born on November 2, 1943. She is survived by her husband Ruben Parra, and their seven children: Ruben Jr (Robyn), Lorena (Tony), Imelda (Ruben), Gilbert (Ada), Javier (Ana), Ernesto (Dorian), Lucy (Daniel). Luz Esther also leaves twenty five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren: Yvette, Priscilla, Krista, Benjamin, Dominick, Alyssa, Celeste, Kayla, Andrea, Andres, Eric, Jacob, Monique, Kateri, Christopher, Anissa, Josh, Janine, Ruben, Alexia, Danitza, Gabriel, Joaquin, Anthony, Matthew, Angel and Abel. Luz Esther’s life was devoted in “amor con accion” and “amar a Dios con todo el corazon”. She was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer on Christmas Day. She embraced the illness according to God’s will. Holy Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, February 15th, 2012, 7:00 p.m, at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Thursday, February 16th, 2012, 10:30 a.m, also at the St. Bernard’s Church in Pirtleville, Arizona.
