Douglas man arrested in shooting incident

An 18-year old Douglas man is in custody for his alleged involvement in a shooting incident in Douglas.

According to Sgt. Mark Wilkinson of the Douglas Police Dept. around 10:27 a.m. Feb. 28 Douglas Police Officers responded to the 1000 block of 16th Street reference shots fired.

Wilkinson said further information received was that the shots were fired from a stucco home on the south side of the street which was later indentified to be in the 10 hundred block of 16th Street.

Wilkinson said a visual scan of the front yard revealed a couple of spent casings and officers detained two males who were inside the residence. A search of the home revealed an SKS riffle.

After interviewing both detainees, Wilkinson said Isaac Fimbres was arrested and charged with endangerment, discharging a firearm at a structure, disorderly conduct with a weapon and possession of drug paraphernalia.
