The City of Douglas Public Library will be hosting a series of Creative Writing Classes by Marybeth Webster, Registered Art Therapist from the Chiricahua Community Health Center.

Classes will focus in helping interested people in improving their writing skills, whether it is memoir, fiction, poetry, letter-to-the-editor, or creative non-fiction.

About Marybeth Webster
Always a westerner, Webster grew up in Grand Junction, CO. She has been a teacher, school counselor, scientific illustrator, selling artist, and staff Psychologist at The Divorce Clinic in Honolulu. She spent 8 years in her 50’s traveling across the U.S. interviewing peacemakers, then turning the interviews and sketches and photos into slide shows which she toured in the U.S., Canada, Australia and New Zealand to encourage ordinary people to work for the healing of the planet.
At each crisis or big change in her life, Webster went back to school, finally becoming what she wanted to be when she grows up at age 66 upon completion of her post-doctoral masters in Art Therapy.
“This is the best time of my life,” Webster says. “I have my dream job as art therapist for the Chiricahua Community Clinics. I helped start a wonderful project in Agua Prieta to create self-sufficiency and community. All my work is a constant joy.”
