To be able to do the trip the groups guided by Music Director Michael Goodwin are getting donations to raise the amount of money needed.

The group is supported by the Douglas High School Parent Booster Band Club, which has collected a significant amount of the money in previous years to help the students with this endeavor.

“So far we have received donations from Dr. Alfred Wu from the Douglas Family Care Clinic as well as from cardiologist Frank E. Molls and Deborah Tanner, M.P. from Pima Hearth in Tucson,” Ana Grijalva, President of the Club said.

The Douglas High School marching and jazz bands and the choir will be doing a series of activities to raise the money needed for the trip in the following days. This year’s goal is to take 52 students on the trip.

Interested people in helping the groups with a donation may call Ana Grijalva at (520) 227-7260 or stop by the high school.
