Cochise College will host acclaimed Tucson sculptor Curt Brill for two special presentations on March 21 at the Sierra Vista and Douglas campuses.
Brill was born in New York and began seriously pursuing his art career while attending Cornell University, starting with exhibitions that showcased his drawings, ceramic work and silk screening. He moved to Arizona in 1974 to become a pottery instructor for Tucson Parks, and has since worked with galleries, museums and educational institutions all over the city.
Brill's award-winning work has been showcased in regional, national and international exhibits. In his artist statement, he says, "My search in the visual arts is for the hidden Human spirit. That small part that makes us each unique, yet finds us a common home."
