Lady netters blank Benson

The Douglas Lady Bulldog tennis team shutout Benson 9-0 last week at the DHS tennis courts.

Kim Cormier, playing No. 1 singles for Douglas, won her match 6-1, 7-5.

Tanya Nunez won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 singles.

At No.3 singles Argentina Morales posted a 6-1, 6-0 win.

Valeria Cordova won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 4 singles and Erika Romero was a 6-2, 6-0 winner at No. 5 singles.

Kim Ruiz won 6-1, 6-0 in the No. 6 singles match.

In doubles play Nunez and Cormier won their match 8-2; Morales and Cordova were 8-0 winners as were Romero and Ruiz.

In JV singles play Fernanda Quiroz won her match 8-2; Emily Owen was a 8-0 winner.

In doubles Fernanda Quiroz & Andrea Quiroz won 6-2.

The Lady netters have no matches this week and return to play March 26 when they host Tombstone.
