Kids got more than eggs filled with candy at the Public Library on Thursday, April 5; they received a special visit from the Easter Bunny.

Participating kids of the Children Story Hour Program had the chance to spend some quality time with the Easter Bunny last Thursday. They also decorated their own Easter Bunny’s masks before the bunny showed up. Francisco Barrios/Douglas Dispatch

The City of Douglas Public Library, through the Children Story Hour Program offers an opportunity for preschool kids and their parents who wish to spend a quality time by reading fun books and doing some interactive activities at the Children’s Room, inside the Library.

This occasion, children of Coqui Child Care Center enjoyed the Easter Bunny and received candy bags directly from the bunny, who did not miss the opportunity to have a couple of pictures with the kids.

The Children Story Hour is held every Thursday, from 10:15-11:30 a.m. at the Douglas Public Library, located at 560 10th St. and it is open to kids from preschool to elementary school ages. For more information, please contact the Public Library at (520) 364-3851.
