Delia Campoy Saavedra Delia C. Saavedra passed away on Saturday, April 7, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 30, 1930 in Agua Prieta, Sonora, Mexico to Nicolas and Maria Rojas Campoy. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Abraham E. Saavedra, and her brothers, Hector and Manuel Campoy. Delia is survived by her daughter Linda S. Jones; sons Ruben C. (Brenda) Saavedra, Jesus Saavedra, Raul Saavedra, Abraham Saavedra Jr. and Rene Saavedra; Grandchildren Rachel Rodriguez, Dolores Salazar, Jacquelyn Jimenez and Nick Saavedra; Great Grandchildren Briana, Anthony, Danielle, Andres, Leilani, Robert, Nathaniel, Anyssa, Jacob and Alexia. She is also survived by her sister Ramona Barraza and her two brothers Alberto and Jesus Campoy. Delia was a parishioner of St. Luke’s Catholic Church and a member of the Social Concerns Club. She was a very strong and independent, friendly and giving person. One of her proudest Accomplishments was becoming a U.S. Citizen. She will be greatly missed by her family. A Rosary for Delia will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at the Brown Page Mortuary Chapel. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 12, 2012 at St. Luke’s Catholic Church with Father Gilbert Malu officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers who will serve are Ruben C. Saavedra, Jesus C. Saavedra, Raul C. Saavedra, Nick Saavedra, Salvador Jimenez and Rene Salazar. Honorary Pallbearers will be Abraham C. Saavedra, Rene C. Saavedra, Jesus Campoy, Alberto Campoy, Guadalupe Acosta, James Tempel and Paul Rodriguez.
